Carbon dioxide removal technologies are advancing quickly, but many have not yet been evaluated under realistic conditions or compared using shared criteria. NET-C is designed to close that gap by developing testbeds, monitoring methods, and assessment protocols that can be applied across very different carbon storage environments.
Our work connects laboratory and field measurements with life cycle sustainability analysis, ecological risk assessment, and scale-up modeling. This integrated approach is intended to help distinguish technologies that are technically promising from those that are also durable, measurable, responsible, and suitable for wider deployment.
